Affordable Cell Phone Carriers

When people ask for help with budgeting and reducing their expenses, I am always eager to see what they are paying for their cell phone. Most people are paying way more than they need to be paying.

Here are a few cell phone companies that don’t charge an arm and a leg. In fact, they are all super affordable!

Visible–Visible is a Verizon subsidiary that offers wifi calling and unlimited cell calls and data on the Verizon network. We’ve been using Visible for over two years now and have no complaints at all. It is $25 per phone, but right now you can get the first month for just $5 through my link.

Mint Mobile— The current cost is $15/month. I don’t have personal experience with them but I’ve had blog readers rave about the great service and even lower costs of Mint Mobile.

Gabb Wireless— If you want a smart phone or watch for your child or teen, I recommend Gabb. It looks like a smart phone, but without the internet, social media, or games. Our oldest has a Gabb watch so she can call us or text us when she needs to be picked up, but we don’t have all of the other downsides of putting a smart phone in the hands of a child/teen. And’s it’s affordable. We pay about $10/month for the Gabb watch. Right now you can get 50% off on Gabb phones and watches through my link.

Scaling back a monthly expense like your cell phone bill is a great way to help your budget. The best thing about reducing a monthly expense like your cell phone bill is that you see the savings every single month!  That’s month right back in your pocket to go toward a big financial goal like a down payment on a house, getting out of debt, saving for retirement, or going on a family vacation.
